Platis Gialos Beach

On the island's southern side, just 9.5 kilometres away from Mykonian Breeze, you'll find the famous Platys Gialos Beach. It's one of Mykonos's most extensive sandy beaches, offering a predominantly family-friendly environment beloved for its comfort and easy accessibility. Impeccably organized, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available, it's an ideal choice for mothers with children.

In some restaurants, the atmosphere is elevated in the evenings with live music, allowing you to enjoy your seafood meals by the sea. Guests will delight in the hospitality and kindness of the locals, creating an unforgettable holiday experience.

Near the area are the famous "Portes," remnants of towers from the Hellenistic era worth visiting. Although there isn't much precise information about their history, they appear to have been used as watchtowers or defensive positions against piracy and attacks.

Platys Gialos is the starting point for boats that run routes to the southern beaches of the island. However, you can also get there by car or bus.
