Little Venice of Mykonos

Little Venice, or Alefkandra, is one of the most charming and romantic spots in Mykonos. Nestled between Kastro and Skarpa, this picturesque neighborhood is famous for its colorful houses built right on the edge of the sea, with wooden balconies that seem to hover above the waves.

Built in the mid-18th century by wealthy merchants and sea captains, Little Venice reflects the island’s maritime history and cosmopolitan spirit. The area has since become a beloved landmark, offering spectacular sunset views over the Aegean and a lively mix of cafés, bars, and restaurants overlooking the water. Today, Little Venice stands as one of Mykonos’ most photographed and visited locations — a place where history, architecture, and natural beauty meet to create the island’s most iconic and romantic setting.
