Ornos Beach

The beach of Ornos, located in the southern part of Mykonos, is approximately 9.5 kilometres away from Mykonian Breeze. It is renowned for its tranquil, azure waters and fine sand covering the shore. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing swim, as the beach's location shields it from the intense summer winds, making it an ideal choice even during the hot days of August.

This area is distinguished by its small windless harbour, where traditional fishing boats anchor. This picturesque scene offers an authentic island feel and is one of the masterpieces of local handmade boat building. This image contrasts pleasantly with the opulence and luxury of summer, imparting a traditional atmosphere to the area.

The beach is bustling with youthful energy, families, and tourists soaking up the sun. It is well-organized, offering plenty of options for comfortable relaxation, with sun loungers, umbrellas, bean bags, and couches allowing visitors to enjoy the beach easily. Additionally, there are excellent dining and drinking options, with restaurants and beach bars like Kuzina, Pasaji, and the timeless classic Aperanto Galazio.

For underwater enthusiasts, there is also a diving school that offers visitors the opportunity to explore the submerged secrets of underwater landscapes.

From the beach, small boats depart to transport visitors to the other famous beaches of Mykonos in the southern part of the island. The first stop might be Psarou, home to the renowned beach bar and restaurant NAMMOS, often frequented by the world's largest yachts. Next is Paraga Beach, known for the popular restaurant bar SCORPIOS, offering small artificial islands for sunbathing and rare cocktails, as well as Sant'Anna, with the largest pool in the Balkans. Following that, there's Paradise Beach with the Tropicana Club, Super Paradise with the famous Super Paradise Club, and Jackie O' Club restaurant with its international cuisine and spectacular drag shows, providing an elegant LGBTQ hangout. Finally, visitors can explore the beaches of Agrari and Elia.

Access to Ornos is easy and convenient, either from the new ring road or the provincial road connecting Chora to Agios Ioannis. These roads are paved with asphalt and are in excellent condition. There is limited space for parking vehicles, either directly in front of the beach or in private areas with unrestricted access.
