Hidden beaches
Discover hidden treasures in Mykonos. Unorganised beaches where time and tourism hasn’t changed them. See the other side of Mykonos, a side that only locals really see and only real travellers are willing to explore.
Merchia Beach is 6.7 km from Mykonian Breeze Ano Mera. It is a small, quiet and isolated beach that certainly has nothing to do with the cosmopolitan beaches of Mykonos. This part of Mykonos is still untouched by tourism. The track is rough in many places, but the beach will offer you the peace and seclusion you seek. It has fine sand and beautiful pebbles, deep clear water, and some shade trees. Here you will not find umbrellas and sunbeds. There is nothing but the sea and you. Make sure you have everything you need, such as water, umbrella, food and sunscreen. To the right of Merchia Beach, there is a picturesque little chapel, Agios Nikolaos. After the chapel, there is another hidden diamond of Mykonos, Tragomantra beach. It is worthwhile to take a look, and maybe tomorrow can be your favourite beach.
